Just hours after a lower judge stopped the release of The Kerala Story 2, a higher court (the Division Bench) stepped in and cleared it. The court made a very simple point: you cannot ban an entire movie based only on a short teaser. Since the Censor Board had already watched the full film and gave it a “thumbs up” (certification), the court decided it wasn’t fair to block the movie at the last minute.
This is a huge win for the filmmakers, who argued that stopping the movie would cost them a fortune. The court basically said that if the experts at the Censor Board approved it, the movie should be allowed to play. While some people are still worried about the film’s message, for now, the law says the show must go on.
