Is China Helping Iran in Secret? Why Beijing is Keeping Its Distance!
As of today, February 28, 2026, the world is on edge following massive military strikes by the U.S. and Israel against Iran. While everyone is looking to see if China will jump in to help its partner, Beijing is playing a very careful game. China has a “Red Line,” but instead of sending its own soldiers to fight, it is helping Iran behind the scenes. They are rushing to provide Iran with advanced technology, like supersonic missiles and “kamikaze” drones, to help Tehran defend itself without China having to start a direct war with America.
China’s main goal is to keep Iran stable so they can keep getting cheap oil, but they don’t want to get pulled into a global conflict. They are currently focusing on “shadow support,” which includes things like cyber defense and replacing Western software in Iran with secure Chinese systems. For now, Beijing is calling for peace and diplomacy in public, while secretly giving Iran the tools it needs to make any further U.S. attacks very difficult and expensive.
