Vijay-Led TVK Rules Out Alliance with NDA, Calls BJP ‘Ideological Enemy’
The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by actor-turned-politician Vijay, has firmly denied rumours of forming an alliance with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The clarification came after speculation that the party had been offered political incentives, including key positions and seats, to join the alliance.
Addressing the rumours, TVK leader C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) remains the party’s ideological opponent. He emphasized that TVK has no plans to collaborate with the NDA and dismissed the reports of any potential alliance as baseless.
The statement was issued after reports surfaced suggesting that the ruling alliance had approached TVK with offers such as the Deputy Chief Minister post and electoral seats in exchange for joining the coalition. However, TVK leaders reiterated that their party’s political stance remains unchanged.
Since launching his political party, Vijay has positioned TVK as a strong voice with its own ideology and political direction. The latest statement from the party leadership signals that TVK intends to maintain an independent political path rather than aligning with the NDA.
