Varun Dhawan recently opened up about a really emotional and challenging time for his family after his baby girl, Lara, was diagnosed with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH). It’s a condition where the hip joint doesn’t form quite right, and little Lara had to spend two and a half months in a spica cast—a heavy medical cast that covers the hips and legs. Varun admitted it was a “difficult” phase watching his newborn go through that, but he shared the story to help other parents who might be facing the same scary diagnosis.
The good news is that the treatment worked, and Varun’s “little warrior” is doing much better now! He praised his wife, Natasha Dalal, for being the real pillar of strength throughout the whole ordeal. By speaking out, Varun is raising much-needed awareness about DDH, reminding everyone that while the recovery process is long and exhausting, staying positive and getting early treatment makes all the difference. It’s a side of the superstar we don’t always see—just a devoted dad doing his best for his kid.
