Deal or No Deal? Why Iran is Risking War by Defying Trump?
The clock is ticking in February 2026. President Trump has given Iran a final “10-day deadline” to shut down its nuclear program or face “bad things”—which many believe means a U.S. military strike. While Trump is demanding that Iran stop all nuclear work entirely, Iran has officially refused to back down. They are holding firm on their “right” to keep their nuclear technology, leading to a dangerous standoff where neither side wants to be the first to blink.
To avoid a full-scale war, Iran has put forward a compromise: they won’t give up their program, but they will “thin out” their nuclear fuel so it can’t be used for weapons. They’ve also brought in veteran leader Ali Larijani to try and cut a deal that saves face for both sides. With U.S. warships already moving into position, the next few days will decide if this ends with a new signature on a paper or a major conflict in the Middle East.
