Ra.One 2: It’s Happening!
Director Anubhav Sinha is officially dreaming of Ra.One 2, but fans shouldn’t hold their breath just yet. In a recent interview, Sinha admitted he’s dying to make the sequel but warned it’s a massive commitment that would take at least two to three years of his life. The biggest hurdle? Timing. Between his own busy schedule and Shah Rukh Khan’s non-stop string of blockbusters, the stars haven’t quite aligned for “G.One” to return to the big screen.Looking back, both the director and SRK feel the 2011 original was simply ahead of its time with its ambitious VFX and gaming-inspired plot. While it didn’t smash the box office back then, it has since become a cult favorite. Shah Rukh Khan himself recently hinted that today’s tech-savvy audience would likely appreciate the film’s themes even more than they did a decade ago, leaving the door wide open for a high-tech comeback.
