Thalapathy Vijay fans will have to wait a bit longer for Jana Nayagan because the movie is currently stuck in a frustrating deadlock with the censor board. The newly formed revising committee hasn’t even started reviewing the film yet, and the producers are reportedly being kept in the dark without any official updates. Because of this administrative stall, the original plan for a February release is officially off the table.
Even if the censors clear the movie soon, the scheduling looks messy. A March release is unlikely because the same production house is busy launching Yash’s Toxic, and April is a no-go due to the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. While it’s disappointing for everyone excited to see Vijay team up with director H. Vinoth and composer Anirudh, it looks like the team is stuck playing the waiting game until the paperwork finally clears.
